This time of year-

It always feels like the end of a long race.  Like I've made it to the home stretch.  You know.  I'm tired.  I'm ready for a rest.  But it's like I'm getting that last burst of energy.  I'm ready to finish strong.

Basketball season is coming to a close.  Regular season is finished and tomorrow begins the conference tournament: we win- we move on, we lose- we're done.

It's been a challenging year.  We've lost FIVE overtime games.  We've lost every. conference. game.  And LISTEN: we are a good team.  Not complete- we definitely have holes in the roster- but we are NOT a bad team.  It's been rough.  But we're young and we've got a couple of really really good recruits committed, and our guys are SO easy to cheer for.  They've played hard every second of the year, and even with all of our consecutive losses, I've never heard or seen anything negative come out of them.  The fact that they're still improving and still liking each other and respecting JD at this point of this season, means that 1) they are quality young men, and 2) the future is bright.

We play the #1 team in the conference tomorrow (#6 in the nation.)  We can totally win.  It would be awesome.

I'm praying that my "single-parenting" continues until March 26.  You can join me, if you want.
